How it works
Tell us the place, the date, and the time your spot needs holding. A human replies with a yes or an honest no.
A vetted, identity-verified person holds your place and texts you as the line moves.
Walk up near the front, take your place, and finish it yourself.
However the line ends, the finish is yours: you complete the purchase, show your own ID, and walk in yourself. How it works in full
What we cover
The drop that sells out in an hour and the counter with a line by 9 AM. A StandIn holds your place; you walk up, pay, and order for yourself.
Officially scheduled sales whose lines start before the doors open. You shop for yourself; wristband and cap rules are the organizer's.
Rush tickets go on sale when the box office opens — typically 10 AM Monday–Saturday, noon Sunday. A StandIn holds the line; you buy your own tickets at the window.
Nightlife doors and product drops are request-only — possible case by case, never promised. And some lines are simply not holdable: anything digital, reserved, or tied to your identity stays with you.
A StandIn can hold a real line on a real sidewalk. Digital lotteries, reservations, transferable appointments, and identity-bound government services are not supported — if the person at the front has to be you from the start, there is nothing to hold.
You complete every purchase, present your own ID, and walk through every door yourself. A StandIn never buys, checks in, or transacts in your name.
Staff directions and house policies always apply, and if a line prohibits holding, we say so instead of taking the booking. We don't claim any venue approves place holding.
Coverage today is Greenwich Village, SoHo, NoHo, and the Lower East Side. Outside them, request it and we'll confirm coverage before anyone lines up.

$25 an hour, $25 minimum, never more than $99 — and you only pay once a StandIn accepts your line.
Founded in New York for the moments when waiting gets in the way.
