standn
A line of people waiting outside a New York bakery in the early morning

Your place in line, held.

Someone waits. You show up.

Don't see your line? Tell us where, when, and what you're waiting for. We'll confirm coverage before you're charged.

What do you need someone to wait for?

Concert early entry, a phone launch, a restaurant opening, a sample sale — anywhere there's a real line. We'll tell you whether we can cover it before you're charged.

How it works

Hold your place. Keep your plans.

  1. 01

    Tell us the line

Give us the location, date, time, and what you're waiting for.

  2. 02

    We find your StandIn

A vetted StandIn waits in person and keeps you updated as the line moves.

  3. 03

    You take your place

Meet your StandIn, take over the wait, and complete the purchase, entry, or check-in yourself.

However the line ends, the finish is yours: you complete the purchase, show your own ID, and walk in yourself. How it works in full

What we cover

What can a StandIn wait for?

The parts worth being plain about.

Only eligible physical lines.

A StandIn can hold a real place in a real line — a stadium gate, a store opening, a box office. Digital queues, online lotteries, reservations, security queues, and identity-bound services like the DMV or a medical appointment are not supported — if the person in line has to be you from the start, there is nothing to hold.

The finish is always yours.

You complete every purchase, present your own ID, and walk through every door yourself. A StandIn never buys, signs, checks in, or poses as you.

The venue's rules are the rules.

Staff directions and house policies always apply, and if a line prohibits holding, we say so instead of taking the booking. We don't claim any venue approves place holding.

Started in New York. Expanding based on demand.

Need someone somewhere else? Request the line anyway. We'll confirm a StandIn is available before you're charged — and every request tells us where to grow next.

Trust and safety in full

Be first in line.

StandIn is expanding based on where requests are coming from. Leave your email and you'll get one message when coverage opens somewhere new. No newsletter, no noise.
